About Laura

Laura Finlay, Sales Representative

Operations Support Manager

Laura’s favourite part about real estate is the people. She believes that by building relationships based on honesty, friendliness, and professionalism, she can effectively use her experience to facilitate successful real estate transactions.

Laura current focus within her real estate career is on management and training. Bringing 15+ years of experience into this role, she is dedicated to helping everyone at RE/MAX Affiliates maximize the potential of technology within their businesses. In a time when technology can be completely overwhelming and increasingly seems to threaten authentic human interaction, we must resist the urge to discount or reject all of the benefits that technology can also provide us. There are many ways in which we can use technology in real estate to create efficiencies that actually allow for more time to focus on relationship building and fostering genuine connections.

Her enthusiasm for her job is contagious and her friendly demeanor makes her very approachable. Even though she is having fun, Laura still takes her job very seriously. She is honest and professional at all times. She thrives on being well organized with keen attention to detail.

Laura moved to Ottawa from Southern Ontario in 1998 to attend the University of Ottawa, where she completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). She fell in love with the city and made the decision to stay after graduation. She now lives in Riverside South with Cory and their five children. In her free time, Laura loves to explore the city’s waterways on her stand-up paddleboard and venture into Gatineau Park with her cross-country skis or snowboard.

About RE/MAX Affiliates Realty

RE/MAX Affiliates Realty is built on the fundamental foundations of the Real Estate business: exceptional leadership, top-producing Realtors®, and a culture of giving back to the communities we serve.

Our professional environment provides an authentic and genuine atmosphere in which energy, collaboration, and enthusiasm can flourish. This family-run organization has a boutique brokerage feel, in which our Realtors® and admin staff are equally valued and supported. We embrace technology and focus our training on using it to support and enhance relationships – not replace them. Each of our 9 offices provides a space to build relationships with your colleagues, to share knowledge, experiences, and expertise.

Our owners, Jacalyn and Kevin Grimes, as well as our management staff, align themselves with our Realtors®. They celebrate the value and invest in each individual within the organization. They lead by example, focusing on being responsive and accessible so that they can support every agent, and give them the time and attention they need to deliver their individualized business models in the most successful way possible.

RE/MAX Realtors® have been recognized as #1 in the Ottawa market, and the Realtors® of RE/MAX Affiliates are no exception to that. We are comprised of top-producing individuals and teams, that are genuine, caring and respectful of their colleagues. While each professional creates their own unique service model, we pursue a drive to succeed through collaboration and camaraderie.

The RE/MAX Affiliates Realty of today has origins in the town of Smiths Falls. The small-town, grassroots approach to community that is embodied by Jacalyn and Kevin  Grimes creates a corporate-wide cultural that believes in the value of authentic and real involvement in the communities that we serve – from the big city to the rural villages that surround it. We have seen first-hand the strength of our organization and its ability to effect change and improve lives in these communities.
